Somehow I missed MustardGate, but it appears that the right-wing team just can't believe that Obama had mustard on his cheeseburger recently . No, seriously, it's an issue to them, it means that Obama's elitist because he couldn't just eat the ketchup like normal folks. You have got to be kidding me, is Sean Hannity really the biggest dolt in the world?

Libertarians finally have a place to call home... Somalia!

Ask any good Libertarian, the only good government is no government. Now watch this hilarious PSA that tells Libertarians where they can go to put their collective money where their mouth is... Somalia, where there has been no functioning government since 1991. Remember, it's always easy to say the government is meaningless when they're providing you protection and services that allow you to live comfortably enough to comment on their inadequacies...

Joe Duh Plumber Defines "Queers" For Us... Can He Also Define Bloodsucking Opportunist?

Joe the Plumber recently gave an interview to Christianity Today (sounds like a riveting read of a mag) that included his "shocking" admission that he has some gay friends . But luckily, any gay person that could unfortunately claim that reality as true would know where they stand with Ol' Joe, because he makes it clear that he "wouldn't have them anywhere near my children". What's wrong Joe, afraid they might teach the kid tolerance, or that science explains some of the baffling mysteries of the world (like electricity or disease or tootsie pop centers)? Or that it's OK to accept that some people just don't believe that they should deny their truest core feelings because some other people want to interpret ancient religions to pursue an agenda.

Tesla (not the Hair-metal band, but the hair-raising inventor)

Nikola Tesla once tried to make electricity free for all . Now, the place where he attempted to do so is becoming the site for a renewed battle over his legacy. If you've ever been to the Science Museum and seen a Tesla Coil , you will remember the moment when your first touched it and it made all of your hair stand straight up on your head. Tesla was also active in working with better radio and a/c electrical components. Check out a video about Tesla below:

Huge Upset at the Derby

Mine that Bird, a 50 to 1 longshot, won the Kentucky Derby today . That's a big payday for some, but mostly means a lot of people lost a ton on almost every other horse that was actually expected to win... unless you read Phil Simms article in the Online Wire Monday . Simms was amazed that Mine that Bird was such a huge underdog, and made a good enough case that his readers should have benefitted from his expertise. Of course, at this point, they're probably just happy that they didn't have to destroy a horse after this years race, like Eight Bells tragic end last year .

In the midst of the swine flu outbreak, what this country needs is some good news. So it is with great pleasure that I find that the Republicans are undergoing "rebranding" . Is that kind of like when a hunter reloads before blowing the heck out of something? Or when you replace your septic system with a new-improved system that makes your waste smell like apple pie (although you also have to eat it to survive).
