Craziest Story of All Time?

This has to go down as one of the craziest stories of all time… a man imprisons his daughter in the basement for 24 years while raping her throughout, fathers 7 children with her (allowing one to die from lack of medical care), and somehow keeps this from his above-ground wife, Rosemarie. Her only mention in the article from Veronica Oleksyn comes here: “Three of the children grew up underground in Amstetten and the other three were brought upstairs to be raised by Fritzl and his wife, Rosemarie, who apparently believed they had been abandoned”. First of all, there is no mention of how the man explained the disappearance of his daughter to his wife or anyone else. Second, I am trying to envision the logistics involved in having someone live secretly in your basement while giving birth to 6 kids and raising 3 of them in that secret dungeon. How did all of this remain unknown to Rosemarie? And obviously, I’m not trying to focus blame on her, he’s the incredibly sick gob that did all of this, more just amazed at his ability to carry this out undetected when he obviously is insane (demented, skewered, whatever). It’s hard to pick something in particular about this story that most disgusts me, but possibly the part in which its mentioned that the man raped his daughter in front of the children tipped this man from “complete piece of $%it” to “if there were a supreme being, this man would be burned to a cinder by a lightning bolt immediately”.... and the sad part is that none of that would help this poor woman and her children.
