Now that Alan Colmes has left Sean Hannity, he's finally going to get his chance to be the first-stringer that he's always wanted to be... oh wait, maybe he'll just be the subject of ridicule for his past life as a sweat-rag for right-wingers to sop up their flop-sweat during rants. And to prepare him for his continuation, Steven Colbert had him on his show last night to discuss the Burriss appointment to Obama's seat ( the Burriss thing went so well today , thanks Blah-blahbuhvich), Here's Colmes, assuming the position. Funny stuff...

One of the fun moments of New Year's was watching Kathy Griffin drop some crude-i-te's on a heckler in the crowd. Watch as Kathy tells the man that she doesn't come to his job "to knock the dicks out of his mouth". I am betting that Anderson Cooper dies a little inside at that moment...

Hannity loses his fake balance

Alan Colmes is finally going to get the last word . The man that has regularly been forced to pretend to bring balance to Sean Hannity's nightly tirades has finally had enough. If you've never seen the show, allow me to present a synopsis. A guest is brought on the show. If the guest is a conservative, Colmes will begin by throwing out a softball question that is somewhat related to whatever scandal or stupid thing the conservative has done to warrant their appearance (like calling someone a Marxist or voting for Freedom Fries). Then Hannity will jump in, defend the guest, and launch into a ten-minute disembowelment of Colmes and all liberals for their idiocy. If the guest is a liberal, just skip the part where Colmes says anything and go straight to the disembowelment. So for the first time ever I'd like to say, "Good job, Colmes", for removing your name from that crapfest so that it can be what it really is, an hour of a self-absorbed windbag flailing guests without allowing proper time for reply or perspective. But this time, he can't say "but I gave the liberal point of view too". Oh, and has it been confirmed that the show "American Dad" is based on Sean Hannity?

Finishing 4th on Survivor could have been enough for Elizabeth Hasselbeck. But then she became a shill for the Republican party, and earned herself the hatred of almost anyone that has ever watched the View without a handgun or a bible in their hands.
